Dr. Shi-Lei Xue obtained B.S. degree in Engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He earned Ph.D. degree in Solid Mechanics at Tsinghua University in 2018, with a research focus on the biomechanics of solid tumors. Then he joined Prof. Edouard Hannezo’s group at Institute of Science and Technology Austria as a postdoctoral research fellow until 2023, using methods from continuum mechanics and active matter physics to study living systems, as well as in the context of collaborations with developmental biologists.
